2022 Club Championship
Each year the club nominates a number of races that members can compete in and the results (which are age graded) form the basis of the yearly Club Championship. There are separate championships for men and women, and the winners are presented with a trophy at the annual Christmas meal.
You must enter at least 3 of the nominated races to take part, and it is your best 6 race results which count towards your championship total. After age grading the first (male & female) get 1 point each, 2nd = 2 points, 3rd = 3 points etc. If you don’t enter an event you get 25 points. The male & female with the lowest points tally at the end of the year are the club champions.Â
Hopefully Covid-19 will stay ‘at bay’ and all of the races below will be allowed to take place. If this is not the case we will try to find alternatives to any events which are cancelled.
(NOTE : There is still one race in this years (2021) championship to take place, The Turkey Trot Half Marathon on December 12th but as this years champions have already been decided and the race is fully subscribed I have removed all of the 2021 races from this page).
